VIN12179 Right Hand Drive
VIN12179
PJ Grady Europe has worked on many of the right hand drive DeLoreans. Each and every one of them are very special, being the ‘black cars’ that the Irish workforce used for training.
This car was brought to us for a stainless steel restoration. As you can see, we have returned the stainless steel back to full concourse - the car looks very fresh, exactly as it did when it was first built. This car belongs to the Hooper family, who play a large and very helpful role within the UK DeLorean owners club.
This car is very well known among DeLorean owners and has a very extensive background with the Dunmurry factory. As with all the DeLoreans featured on our website, this is a Wooler Hodec car. However, as Mary Hooper stated to us, "the car was used for testing purposes at the factory", which makes this car all the more desirable.
To confirm this, when we removed some of the body panels we could clearly see the early signs of testing. The car however is very original and now looks as good as it did after the right hand drive conversion had taken place. The owners have made sure that their car is 100 percent original, as well as making sure the car is cosmetically pleasing to the eye.
A very special car, which thankfully has survived and is now with the right owners.
